Intrauterine ointment
Composition:
Each intrauterine ointment contains 900 milligrams of Cefquinome (sulfate)
Mechanism of effect:
The Cefquinome (sulfate) is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall peptidoglycans and is highly resistant to the bacterial beta-lactamase enzyme, resulting in good bactericidal effect in uterine environment
Indications:
Metritis – Clinical and subclinical endometritis – distocia and retained placenta
Rout of administration and dosage:
Each syringe is used for intrauterine administration in the form of a single dose in the cattle. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated 72 hours later. The syringe connected to the uterine catheter and used with midwifery gloves and with a rectal touch of the uterine cavity Pass the inside of the cervix slowly through the inside of the uterus and then empty the contents of the syringe into the uterus.
Withdrawal time:
Meat: 5 days
Milk: 2 days
Contraindication:
At pregnancy, animals with a history of drug allergy to Cephalosporins. And
Concomitant administration of the drug with other intrauterine compounds.
