Composition: Each syringe 4gr contains 150 mg of Cefquinome (Sulfate) The mechanism of action of the drug: The antibiotic cefquinome is a fourth-generation cephalosporin that is broad and bactericidal. These cephalosporins inhibit peptidoglycans in the cell wall of the bacteria and are resistant to beta-lactamases of gram-negative bacteria, and as a result, the effect of good bactericidal activity in the mastitis due to coliform and staphylococcal. Indications: Prevention of subclinical mastitis and prevention of new bacterial infections of the breast due to the presence of susceptible organisms to cefquinom (Streptococcus aureus, Streptococcus disaggalaecia, Streptococcus agalactia, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus coagulase negative) during dry period of Milking cow is prescribed. Rout of administration and dosage: A disposable intramammary syringe containing 150 mg of cefquinome active ingredient should be administered immediately after the last milking and inject the contents of the syringe. Before injection, all the milk inside the mammary gland should be removed and the teat should be completely clean and disinfected. Be careful not to infect the syringe nozzle. Insert the tip of the nozzle either completely and nject the contents of the syringe completely into it.
