Cefapirin DC (Dry Cow)
Intramammary Suspension
Composition:
Each syringe contains:
- 300 mg Cefapirin (as Benzathine)
- In an oil-based suspension
Cefapirin benzathine is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with potent antimicrobial activity. It is especially effective against common mastitis-causing bacteria such as:
- Streptococcus spp.
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Actinobacillus
Indications:
For the prevention and treatment of bovine mastitis during the dry period.
Administration Instructions:
At the beginning of the dry period, thoroughly disinfect the teat end. Shake the syringe well and slowly inject its full contents into each teat. Massage the udder gently from the bottom upwards to distribute the medication evenly.
Dosage and Method of Use:
Use only under veterinary supervision.
It is recommended to administer one syringe per quarter every three weeks throughout the entire dry period.
Withdrawal Periods:
- Meat: Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 42 days of the last treatment.
- Milk: Milk must not be used for human consumption within 72 hours after calving.
Storage Conditions:
Store below 25°C.
Protect from freezing and excessive heat.
