Cefquinome-Based Intramammary Ointment
Pharmaceutical Group: Antibiotic
Dosage Form: Intramammary Ointment
Composition:
Each 4-gram syringe contains:
- 150 mg Cefquinome (as sulfate)
Mechanism of Action:
Cefquinome is a broad-spectrum, fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with strong bactericidal activity.
It acts by inhibiting the synthesis of peptidoglycan in the bacterial cell wall.
It is highly resistant to β-lactamase enzymes produced by Gram-negative bacteria, making it effective against coliformand staphylococcal mastitis in dairy cattle.

- Streptococcus dysgalactiae
