 (Intramammary Suspension for Bovine Mastitis)

Composition (per 8 g syringe):

• Oxytetracycline – 250 mg
• Neomycin – 250 mg
• Prednisolone – 5 mg

Mechanism of Action:

Mastiker MC is a potent triple-action suspension formulated for the treatment of acute and subacute mastitis in lactating and dry cows.

The efficacy of Mastiker MC has been evaluated in a comprehensive study conducted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tehran, which showed high clinical cure rates in mastitis caused by sensitive bacterial pathogens.

This intramammary ointment combines broad-spectrum antibiotics that are effective against the major causative agents of bovine mastitis, including:

• Staphylococcus aureus
• Escherichia coli
• Streptococcus spp.

Oxytetracycline, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic, is particularly effective against Gram-negative bacteria, especially E. coli.

Neomycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, enhances the spectrum of activity, particularly against resistant strains.

Prednisolone, a potent corticosteroid, helps reduce inflammation, swelling, and other clinical symptoms, contributing to faster clinical recovery.

Indications:

• Treatment of acute and subacute clinical mastitis in dairy cows
• Effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens
