Indications:

MetriCare is indicated for the treatment and prevention of chronic endometritis and metritis in cows, as well as for repeat breeder cows (cows requiring multiple inseminations due to failure of conception).

Mechanism of Action:

Cefapirin is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity. It is effective against a wide range of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria commonly associated with uterine infections, such as:

• Actinomyces pyogenes
• Fusobacterium spp.
• Other anaerobic pathogens

The formulation of MetriCare is designed for controlled, gradual release of the active ingredient to ensure effective therapeutic levels in the uterus without compromising the natural uterine defense mechanisms. Unlike poorly formulated intrauterine antibiotics or irritating substances that can cause damage, MetriCare promotes healing without disrupting tissue integrity.

Product Description:

Each sterile polyethylene syringe contains 19 grams of medicated ointment and is designed for easy attachment to intrauterine lavage catheters.

MetriCare is supplied as a complete treatment kit, including:

• 1 sterile syringe
• 1 uterine catheter
• 1 sterile rectal glove
