Ceftiofur DC
Description
Ceftiofur DC
Intramammary ointment (Dry cow)
Composition:
Each 8 gr syringe contains 500 mg of Ceftiofur (HCl)

The Ceftiofur is from the Cephalosporins group and the third generation of this group. The mechanism of action of Cephalosporins is similar to penicillins and bactericide. Cephalosporins have been linked to proteins present in the cytoplasmic membrane of the bacteria, and interfered with the action of transpeptidase and other cell wall enzymes, inhibiting the cell wall production of the bacterium. Also, the division and growth of the cells are inhibited; sensitive bacteria are often lysed and destroyed.
