استاندار کهگیلویه و بویراحمد: دامپزشکی پس از نفت نقش کلیدی دارد

Governor Yadolah Rahmani of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad stressed that public health is priority and no shortcuts in veterinary health inspections. He praised the veterinary department’s recent planning, highlighted the need for vigilance, and warned that contaminated meat could harm many. Rahmani emphasized continued vaccination, including 2 million rabies doses, free slaughter and quota allocation. He sees veterinary as a post‑oil economic driver, citing 2.6 million livestock and 312 cold‑water aquaculture units (29 100 t capacity) and urging a shift to warm‑water and caviar production. He noted that 50 % of veterinary staff lack personnel, equipment and machinery, calling for national regulation. He urged support for 13 local animal‑drug packaging units, development of herbal antibiotics, and better distribution. The veterinary director said all diseases except rabies are controlled; 9 300 dogs were vaccinated this year.
